Tribulation + God = Hope

Romans 5:1 - 5

1. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2. By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3. And not only so, but we glory in tribulation also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4. And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5. And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

This was a passage I read during my morning devotion time and I began to think about what it said. Life has many ways to throw us off course and make us lose sight of what God's will is. We are sometimes pushed down by trials and hard times that seem almost impossible to come through. I just want to remind you with these scriptures that no matter what you are going through in life, no matter your circumstance, the Lord knows right where you are and He hasn't given up on you. Through our tribulation God is with us, and knowing that simple fact gives us HOPE.
God bless each and everyone of you, I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week.

His Banner Over Me is Love

As Jacob and I were driving through town we were listening to one of his childrens bible songs cd and this song came on:

The Lord is mine and I am His, His banner over me is love
The Lord is mine and I am His, His banner over me is love
The Lord is mine and I am His, His banner over me is love
His banner over me is love

The sweet presence of the Lord filled my vehicle in that moment and I realized something, we get so busy in our day that we sometimes forget the simple way of ushering in the presence of God. We get caught up with household chores, children needing to be fed and clothed, messes that are needing to be picked up, gardening, errands to run, etc. It doesn't take long, just a simple prayer or even a simple song such as this that is worshipful, the Lord responds. He loves worship and He will be where He is loved. Today, I encourage you to take a few moments from your busy day and just tell the Lord how much you love and appreciate Him. Entertain His presence and I promise you your day will go so much smoother and you will find alot of joy in it. God Bless!

My Big Little Helper

Jacob was my big little helper yesterday. He was curious about what mama was doing and decided to join in on washing dishes.

Of course he had to stand on a chair, not quite tall enough to reach the sink.

He is growing up so fast, sniff.

Isn't he just the cutest little helper you ever saw!
